The Lighthouse on the Hill
7-8-2011 The Lighthouse on the hill
On top of the hill, down on the bay, there is the lighthouse that every night shines,
For more than a hundred years it has become a familiar landmark to find,
There in the sand, the all of us enjoy the cool ocean breeze,
Watch the waves roll over and lay down gently at our feet,
Every once in a while the wind sears the tips of the waves,
Spraying over me,a salty spray, rolling down my nose onto my chin ,
The crashing of waves, for miles- fills the aching silence with a soothing pulse,
As though the rhythm of my heart, beats to the sound of the ocean motion.
