My Last Gifts
When it’s my time to farewell…
When it’s my time to go,
I wanna leave behind my sight…
For a child who still has, yet
Many wonders to discover in life…
Or a drunken teen who lost sight in a nightmare of car-wreck!
When it’s my time to farewell…
When it’s my time to go,
I wanna give away my heart…
So it can fight…
Fight for someone’s life; for someone’s life my heart beats
For a beloved one to be able to stay up all night
And listen in delight, that special someone’s heart still heaves.
So…when it’s my time to farewell…
When it’s my time to go,
Tear down my body…
My every parts…
For somebody, someone, somewhere…
And let my grave be in their hearts.
When it’s my time to farewell…
When it’s my time to go, then
Don’t hold on me, let me go…before my organs waste away…
Let the doctors harvest them…
Like a vulture waiting for a feast
Let them do as they please.
When it’s my time to farewell…
When it’s my time to go,
Don’t hold on me, let me go…
For no one can unto my death…but let my death unto others’…
And for that I’d know…that even if I die,
My death’d be undoing of others’…
A glimpse of hope…or just one more day to live longer
For someone somewhere, at least…
And for that I’d be reassured…
For that I know…
Now, I may go in peace!
